If you don't understand Portuguese, don't panic! 

1. This blog will always be written in English;
2. The commands in this blog will soon be in English (or so the server says!);
3. If you want to leave a message, click on "comente" or "vários comentários" and fill in the the boxes as follows: "nome" = name, "comentário" = comments, "enviar comentário" = send comment;
4. If you want to send one of the messages in this blog to a friend, click on "envie esta mensagem" and fill in the boxes as follows: "seu nome" = your name, "seu e-mail" = your e-mail, "destinatário" = to, "comentário" = comments, "enviar" = send.

Have you ever used an on-line dictionary? There are quite a few on-line dictionaries available nowadays and they offer many advantages:

• Instant access (you don't have to keep flipping through pages, just key in the word and there you go! Your definition is displayed in seconds)
• New words (you don't have to wait for the next edition to look up the meaning of new words in the news, or in your favourite TV series, or in your chat room. On-line dictionaries are updated regulaly)

You will find below the links for the OXFORD Advanced Learners Dictionary and the LONGMAN Dictionary of Contemporary English on-line, two major ELT publishers. Just leave the window open, and click on it whenever you need. Enjoy your study!
